Hurrah for Verizon. Use to be a Verizon customer and only changed because of AT&T advertised rollover minutes. Now I know why.
I try to call and I get SERVICE UNAVAILABLE.
They have LESS BARS IN MORE PLACES.
#2! AT&T's coverages sucks.....EVEN in New York City! Howard Stern constantly talks about how his AT&T phone didn't work for squat to make phone calls, only using the web n stuff. Stern also can't stop talking about how much he LOVES his Verizon Blackberry Tour cuz he can ACTUALLY MAKE PHONE CALLS WITH IT! If this unbiased endorsement doesn't speak volumes to the vast difference in network quality between Verizon and AT&T, I don't know what does! (Still sucks they may be doubling their ETF's though! :(
Don't look to AT&T for help. Customer Service said there's a solution to the "No Service" problem. A year later and I'm still waiting. AT&T - Can you hear me now? As soon as contract expires...you're history.
Pac Bell I mean cingular I mean AT&T I mean....well you know what I mean used to be good back in the late 90's. Then it gotten too popular and it couldn't handle all the phone calls around 6pm every week night. Verizon has a good customer service because they actually treat their CSR's really well. That and they are big on team spirit. One thing for sure, they do cannibalize each others work stations for a better chair or mouse/keyboard. I remember having to have to constantly getting a new mouse for a few stations. It gotten to a point where I literally chained a mouse to the desk.
Verizon sucks in Texas, but my AT&T connection is very good. More bars in more places. I could not make a call using Verizon in Houston and Verizon Customer Service did not help me at all. Verizon sucks and I hope AT&T attacks hard.
I can't say enough of how pleased I am since I switched from AT&T to Verizon. The coverage is 10X better. I don't drop calls, roaming area is smaller and Verizon's customer service is far superior to AT&T 10X over.
It's a no brainer Verizon's the better service, hands down. All the other comments/testimonies above will support that claim as well.
Michelle switch, you'll be so much happier!
Windsup....ditch AT&T!
Kimberly...right on girl!
Signed, a former disgruntled AT&T customer, now a blissfully happy Verizon customer.
I have a i-phone, love the device. Phone coverage is OK, 3G is pathetic. As big as AT&T is they should expand 3G big time. Look at where the phone mkt will be in 2 more years, everybody will want 3G internet not just a phone. When my contract expires you can bet I'll take a hard look at Verizon, been with AT&T since before AT&T bought the wireless networks(if that makes sense). HA HA
lol Yeah im on at&t and i would hear this talk of them having 3G BUT I NEVER SEEN ANY well that is not til the comercial lol yup as soon as this same comercial was aired thats when out of no where i had 3G lol so thanks verizon for making it and when my pan is up ill be joining the network lol at&t sucks only reason i got it was cuz cinguler got taken over by them... thing i dont get at&t has been around for a very very long time they gotta be rich yet they dont do anything about how much there network sucks...huh
Connectivity with Sprint and Tmobile sucks. I'm happy with AT&T connections. But all that depends on where you at. I travel a lot and rarely have problem with AT&T
Yes. the ad is a bit deceptive. Who reads the disclaimer anyway. It's a 15 second commercial......
I think its funny that At&t is worried about a commercial instead of fixing there network. If thats really there map, in which they havent ever said it wasnt. Thats sad. For atleast 2 years every time I turn on the TV or listen to the radio all I hear is At&t talking about raising the bar and now that everyone knows that all theyve really been raising is there prices LOL. They really need to step there game up especially since Verizon will be launching its LTE aka 4G network next year and At&t barely has 3G coverage. Take the iPhone away from At&t and you get poor coverage and no phones good luck in the 2010 when the iphone becomes available to other carriers.
I completely agree with AT&T. Two months ago I switched from Verizon to AT&T for the fact of how badly the customer service and phone service was, and I live in the midwest! I just came sick of Verizon's problems & saying they say they will fix, but never do. I have to say ever since I've switched I've had more service than I ever have with any Verizon phone I've ever had. And it is true, the first time I saw the commercial I was a bit confused; i couldn't understand what Verizon was talking about. AT&T has every right to do what they're doing.
I went to AT&T from Verizon and AT&T is great. I have a few dropped calls, but not surprises on my bill. They do need to step up on the network, but no complaints here. Verizon can never get the bill rught or there is a hidden cost. I'm sticking with AT&T. To each his/her own
Lol. I have t-mobile and it works great outside and not at the bottom of low hills. Of course being in GA the terrain is somewhat terrible. But if we dont want to pay for verizon we cant complain now can we!
While the sucker Americans fall for the scam and open up their pockets and both Verizon and AT&T and the rest of the crooks laugh all the way to the bank!
Alltel was better then both with better coverage. After verizon bought Alltel out i only had one choice AT&T or verizon. My bill doubled and my coverage sucks with verizon. Why can't they work together and add/share cell towers. It would be win for every one
All cell phone plans are rip-offs. Get over it, or better yet, how about not using a cell phone at all?
If you're from a big state like Texas you have to lie big time.
Have a sucker m***** F*****_ - _ -
AT&T was the worst experience I ever had, when Cingular had my account, the billing was accurate, and the coverage was decent, with very few dropped calls, but after AT&T took it back over....I never had more dropped calls, and my bills were constantly including wierd charges that took an act of congress to correct, usually taking on average of 3months to get straightened out.
The big running joke with my friends was calling back when I got disconected, which was several times daily, we would say, "ATT, with the fewest dropped calls of any provider"!
But when I switched to Verizon, I noticed even more billing descrepencies almost every month! Although easier to correct, the never ending end of month bill audit is very tiring! I have had my fill of both providers, if you ask me!
All the iDiots flocked to AT&T so they could be cool with their iPhones. Must really suck spending $100 a month for service that doesn't even work.
im going to have to look into this Verizon stuff! i've had ATT for 10 years... since i got my first cell in the 90's. recently i called to get a good deal on DSL and/or cable. no dice. they have no interest in me being a LONG time loyal customer... never had payment issues, sign on for a new contract every teo years...
in fact, my contract has been up for MONTHS now, fisrt time EVER i haven't had any mailings or emails for special offers to sign up again... my phone upgrades are ridiculously expensive... im shocked. i'd be better of signing up as a new customer. and that sucks... what happen to customer appreciation?
im pretty sad. and will probably HAVE to go with Verizon or TMobil... because i really need a new phone, and DSL.
The problem is that neither company tells you that to get the best service, you actually have to buy a reliable brand cellphone. And that both this and the fact you cannot really rely on their customer service.
In all cases, both companies also ignore to tell people that it would be around $200 a month just to get the best 3G service they have to offer... Which means to get the best 3G reception anywhere, you have to pay for their best offer... Atop of getting the best 3G cellphone that any brand is putting out that year.
Stuff both ignore to mention, and I do agree. Verizon needs to set up a collaboration with AT&T in terms of location and towers. Maybe both consider improving what is needed. But that is just an opinion.
I have used US cell, verizon, nextel and sprint. Sprint has been the best so far, but I just moved to Ms and some areas suck. US cell and verizon both sucked.... Maybe they have changed....
I had been with AT&T since they were Pac Bell. They got bigger and service was horrible. Switched to Tmobile. Verizon didn't work where I lived. I may loo at the m in the future though. The droid looks hot
The REAL PROBLEM HERE IS 95% OF MARKETING DIRECTORS and NATIONALS SALES DIRECTORs lie about their products and services in every industry. Especially in the Timeshare industry in las vegas, and in cell phone stands all over the US. Salesmen and their Managers are only money motivated- and will "fudge the facts, tell little white lies, debased the competition., and trick normal consmers out of their creditcards. If you ever go to vegas, never go on a TIMESHARE PRESENTATION- it's the worst so-called investment to make, and always make these salespeole put all promised in writing, and check out the company on the internet. Or you will lose your money!!!!!
Verizon is counting on the public's ignorance. But I don't they can be successfully sued for that.
Here in NC, AT&T's coverage outside of the bigger cities sucks. Verizon is much better. Having said that, I have to note that many of my friends on Verizon complain about "mystery" charges showing up on their bills, such as being billed 1 1/2 hours of minutes for calling yourself. Crazy. I guess Verizon has more towers, but keep an eye on your bills no matter what carrier you use.
Been with Verizon and tmobile and all of them and so happy with ATT . I have never had a lost call and had them all the time and could count down from ten when i reached certian area. Hurrah for AT&T and for their customer service no problems either. They have been very helpful and if they cant i have gotten some money back on my bill
Had ATT, & everything sucked. So I switched to t-mobile.
Everything Still sucks.
Apparently I'm between 2 towers...each 5 miles on either side of me.
Reception & transmission both are spotty, to say the least.
I wasn't aware that towers only work up to 4.9 miles out from their bases. ??????????????????????
Hmmmmmm......
Amazing, had great coverage with Cingular and only a few billing issues. Then, with the merger they started refitting towers and using AT and T parts, or towers...the coverage stunk. Not sure if they upgraded everything or just expanded to fast. We now get good coverage, but I will not ever pay for the disputed bill. Just got tired of reconciling and all the charges for dropped calls that never connected.
Used A T and T, Sprint, Cricket, Tracphone, Verizon Pacifica (was great).
