As a Celtic fan I am disappointed in Rondo. CP3 is the best point guard on the planet, just like Adrian say in the article. And he deserves a lot more respect. Rondo is lucky he has this surrounding cast, apparently more lucky than he knows.

Agreed, Mr Pink. Rondo has always been hotheaded, but I had no idea he was this immature.

Rondo didn't sign his new contract until after the game, but why let facts get in the way of a compelling narrative?

As talented Chris Paul really is, I can bet he would like to have a great core group of players that Rajon Rondo has in Boston. I'm an ol' school Celtics fan since the 1980's when Bird, McHale, Parish, Ainge, Johnson and other Celtics alums were a part of those championship teams in that era and I'm certain that Chris Paul would've loved to play with such great players like them. And I totally am in agreement with J Micro and CubsManX, Rondo is unworthy to receive such a lucrative contract extension and the opportunity to play with possible Hall-Of-Fame players by the way he conducted himself on the court against Chris. I will not take away Rondo's skills but, Chris Paul, one-on-one against Rondo would kick his sorry behind up and down the court. Chris, I hope you get a chance to play with another great player so that you have the shot to win an NBA Championship.

How soon we forget! Rondo posted multiple triple doubles in last year's playoffs while the Celtics were reeling due to KG's absence. He averaged 16.9 pts, 9.7 rbs, 9.8 assts and 2.5 stls. All this while committing only 2.7 turnovers per game. He is ONLY 23 years old and has already proven he can do whatever is necessary to help his TEAM win. He will earn every penny of that new contract. As for Chris Paul, he needs to worry less about what Rondo says and worry more about controlling himself and figuring where he's going for vacation in April when the Hornets miss the playoffs AGAIN!!!

I'm a Celtics fan and have been all my life, but Rondo continues to show his immaturity. Rondo, you are good and young, but you are not as good as Chris Paul. If New Orleans would swap, you would be playing in New Orleans. Show some class. Chris Paul is a classy guy and at this point, more talented then you are.

Rondo taking credit for the Celtics success is like either of those little tiny outside shooters for Shicago saying they - not Mike - won the NBA Championship...Hit Paul when he's down. Every road has a curve....Trade Rondo and get a so so guard and the Celtics still win 53 or 54 games...Little man - big mouth - cheap shot artist - up $55 mill on the world...No class....

I don't think this is the wisest move from Rondo, but as a fan it is nice to see passionate players who want to be the best. There are certain ways of doing things and this may not have been the best approach. Also, take these comments in this article with a grain of salt. This dude wasn't there and probably didn't hear everything that was said.

Everything cited is second hand so let's not go crushing Rondo and praising Chris Paul just yet.

People have to remember, trash talking is a part of sports. As long as you don't bring in a players family then who really cares. Stop being so sensitive. If players don't like it, do something about it.

Wojarnowski is a known Celtic basher and has never liked Rondo. Truth is Paul is not a true point guard and is a mix between a point and a scorer. In order to do what he does he has to have the ball way to much of the time and this is not how real "teams" operate. The fact of the matter is Rondo just might make NO play better as everyone would feel more involved and know that they might get to contribute a little more for the "team". Paul has the same problem as James. To much James means too little "team". And no championship.

Chris Paul is a better point guard than Rondo. The difference is Rondo has Garnett, Pierce, Ray Allen, and Wallace to back him up. Who does Paul have? Only David West, and he is not close in talent level to any of the above names. If Chris Paul were on the Celtics , they would have many more wins than they have had over the last few years. However, Paul will never show the world how good he really is as long as the talent level stays like in is on New Orleans. A total waste of a super basketball player.

Rondo will never be anything but a 55 million dollar punk. He should take lessons from Ray Allen on how professionals act.

What amazes me is how a guy can balance being an Independent candidate for President, a Texas congressman, and still have time to play professional basketball. What an amazing guy!!!

I almost felt sorry for the abused Chris Paul and his oh-so-difficult life, stuck in a dead end hellhole...until I remembered two significant things:

1) no one forced him to sign a 3 year extension to stay in N.O.
2) With the wars, poverty, unemployment and economic devastation reaching so many, it is hard to weep for a guy making almost $4.6m this year.

I tried to feel bad over a good basketball player making more money in a year than I will make in a lifetime...but I just couldn't do it. Sorry.

As a basketball fan of many years I've always respected Paul for what he does in both courts. But Rondo, it's not because I have no liking for the Celtics, but that guy has always lacked class. I see a HOFer in Paul, and Rondo always taking a backseat to the other great guards of the Celts' history.

In 3 years when CP3 contract is over, Boston should try to acquire him with Rhondo in the package to New Orleans lol!

Oh, please, let's have Paul stop complaining. He still makes tons of money and lives in a great house, while there are people who don't even have a house. Let's look at this with some perspective--tell the baby to stop complaining and get over himself.

its funny, the story speaks of cp3's frustration. I've seen all the hornets games and its david west that wears his frustration on his sleeve. I would gladly see both these guys go to teams with the infrastructure to win championships. to call the hornets cheapskates is not correct. they have spent countless millions on players they can't trade and don't produce. they shoud fire the person who made those decisions to keep him from continuing the mistakes made. as for rondo, he won't make the hall of fame. cp3 will.
