Do Tuesday's elections foreshadow a 2010 Obama effect? (The Yahoo! Newsroom)

The Yahoo! Newsroom - Much was made, some thought too much, about how the outcome of Tuesday's state races would serve as a referendum on President Obama one year after his historic election victory. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

Wasn't he going to fix all that? Wasn't the stinulus package going to fix the economy? Weren'r we coming home from the wat he never wanted? Weren't we going to have change we could believe in?

It didn't happen - we are trying to get ourselves back into a position of making it happen.

Idiots. This administration - they are just so up their backsides that they think we are the stupid ones. Not.

Just another blow to Obama and his cabinet, one after Olympic bid. And after he spend lots amount of time in NJ (3 or 4 times?) The voters not "STUPIDLY" they know and found down what Obama made off.
I am glad can't wait till 2012 we will sent to him one way ticket . Ha Ha Ha!

money is no object to the Dem since they voted a TRILLION dollar package for themselves and 8.5 billion going to ACORN to reek havoc and steal votes---vote for the dead---vote for cartoon charters and such it will take a united effort to defeat this communist government. Most in that movement could care less what happens to the US --they are freeloaders and have been for several generations and will do what ever ACRON tell them to do. Then you have the union who takes money and backs folks no matter what their membership thinks--but stay united and we can save this great country

This administration is pathetic. The conservatives win something, and Obama says, "well, it doesn't mean anything". But if the libs had won, he would be saying "see, I told you so." You can bet one thing: if our wins didn't mean anything, Obama would not have spent so much time and money campaigning for the losers. What does that tell you?

Elections will be like the recent presidential campaign, candidates will want to distance themselves as far away as possible from OBAMA in this case though...

I still think its too early to jump to conclusion. Yes the elections result meant a great deal to the Dems especially in Virginia. Less than a year after Obama won the "Red State," the Republican regain it. But if you're from Virginia, you knew for weeks that McDonnel was going to win the elections. I still dont think that the Republican should assume that they got this thing all wrap up and the 2012 elections is going to be a piece of cake. Let's not forget that currently the voice of the Republican party are coming from guys called Rush and Beck. These guys are facing scrutiny from their own party. I beleive this is a start and its time for the republican to hit the ground running. Remember, "We" as Americans love change, but we are also very impatient ....Midterm elections will be interesting.

Obama's role in the 2010 elections? Simple, to do as many appearances and stump speeches as possible. Keep talking little boy general…. your voice and message is resonating louder than you think.

I think any democrap running better divorce themselves from the pinhead we have as AFRO in Charge as he swirling the drain, as evidenced in yesterdays blood letting in Jersey and Virginia

I'd run away faster than him like a redneck runs to garage sales

Let's face it as long as none of you White people were impacted by unemployment, healthcare and foreclosure life was wonderful. It has been that way through-out history and sad to see that it really is true. Well welcome to the world the rest of us live in tough times and living paycheck to paycheck.

YOU CAN THANK YOUR WONDERFULE BUSH FOR THIS MESS.... NOT ONLY DID HE START A WAR WE SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN IN, HE ALLOWED WALL STREET AND BIG BANKS TO SCREW UP THE FINANCIAL SECTOR WHICH BY THE WAY LEAD TO UNEMPLOYMENT, AUTO INDUSTRY, HOUSING AND BANKS FAILING.

NOW I GUESS YOUR SITTING IN THE BED HE MADE FOR YOU!!!!

All I know is that the "YES WE CAN" turned into "NO WE CAN'T"
Obama is a great speaker, but he fails to deliver what he preached. He does have time to turn it around, but right now he is being seen as a liar and untrustworthy. He didn't get my vote the first time & he won't be getting my vote in 2012.

If the Republican Party can run candidates that stick to the ideas of smaller government, less regulation & lower taxes, it will lead to a takeover of the House & Senate in 2010. We don't need phonies like Scozzafava to run.

You own this economy you morons (white house), you can't blame bush anymore, this economy going nowhere is all on you LIBS and your bull sh#! policies. That being said, I would see the elections of those two republicans as a direct result of the LIBERAL congress/house and president policies being rejected by smart hard working americans.

Dump the COMMIES who call themselves Democrats!
AMERICAN SOCIALISM:
Sixty four years ago Norman Thomas knew what was going
to happen to our country in 2009. Norman Mattoon Thomas
(November 20, 1884 - December 19, 1968) was a leading
American socialist, pacifist, and six-time presidential
candidate for the Socialist Party of America. The Socialist
Party candidate for President of the US, Norman Thomas, said
this in a 1944 speech: "The American people will never
knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of
"liberalism", they will adopt every fragment of
the socialist program, until one day America will be a
socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." He
went on to say: "I no longer need to run as a
Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat
Party has adopted our platform.”

As usual the, main stream media and their hired guns, misread the landscape. We conservatives will be very happy when you and Obama are retired after his first term is complete. Then you all can bathe in the warmth of celebrity in Hollywood, where the dream world you live in does exist!

Why are people still supporting Obama when every time we look at the news he is destroying our country even more. I am not a democrat or republican and I plan on staying that way. I vote for the best person for the job and it never was Obama. If any other president would have done half what Obama has, they would have been booted from office.

CLUELESS... describes obummer, pelousy, reid et al, and the idiots that voted for them. They've had the power in both houses (most ethical according to pelousy, hahahahahaha) since 2006, so forget about the Bush dump, YOU guys own it. Dumocrap policies started the financial mess rolling, looking to get more votes by forcing lenders to loan to people totally unqualified. And where's the 1st $787 billion that was "crucial" to save the economy from ruin? Aside from paying back BIG time their special interests and activists, NO ONE knows!!??
They're done in 2010, unless we collapse as a nation before then, as they try to rush through more garbage policies...

Hello??? Does the press and the crackpots in Congress need a house to fall on them to know a tornado is coming? How many ways do people have to say ENOUGH!

BTW... We don't want to be part of the "New World Order" or worldwide collective. We don't answer to the UN... we answer to ourselves. We pledge allegiance to OUR country... NOT the UN and other countries!

Time for all of the domestic terrorists and haters to find another country to destroy! Leave this one alone!

Bush got us into this mess. Who are we kidding, we didnt really think Obama was going to turn things around in 12 months. I still dont believe that he can in 4yrs. But its obvious that we are running out of obtions. Mayb its time to elect an Independant candidate ( no not Ralph Nader) to the presidency. Its onlly right that we do so, considering the fact that both Democrats and Republicans had their chances and failed miserably.
