Concerning the "Harassment," Enlisted personnel and NCO's are not going to harass him. All officers are college educated and realize that they cannot haze or harass. The British soldiers killed by a badly recruited Afghan policeman occurred because there were not enough troops to guard the polling stations. The Taliban is retaking areas that our soldiers have to vacate because there are not enough troops to garrison areas. The Taliban is hitting supply lines because there are not enough troops to guard it. Hasan and his ilk are losers who use hatred and violence as their tools of choice. I wonder if the pregnant lady had given birth yet? And if they counted her child, if unborn, in the death total. This is very sad. I believe that all Muslims in the US should be barred from owning or having access to weapons of any kind, its purportedly against their religious beliefs anyways. That means they cannot serve in the United States Military in a combat role. Only as translators and intelligence positions behind the combat lines.

As for the woman who was pregnant; the military is a job just like all others. She had every right as all us female sevicemembers do to make a living for herself, her family, and to serve her country. Kudos to her and all of us who serve. Some of us don't have to depend on men to do anything. We can take care of ourselves. This was a tragedy. But we all know the risk of being in service. And keep in mind, lunatics can snap and kill people ANYWHERE.

What I don't understand is....I've either heard or read the shooter was supposedly saying stuff or writing stuff and was getting notice for it in a negative way, like how he wanted out of military and such. Has anyone else heard or read that? Why is it that when something like this happens, it seems that the shooter was being noticed in some way, but nothing more. Like at Virginia Tech, wasn't the guy kind of off the wall before he went on that rampage, but no one stepped in. And then everyone stands around wondering "how" these things happen.
