i dont no if this mother and dauther had any crimanal record if they dont have a record this sentence is fine i got in trouble at age 13 and had to do 6 months probation i learned my lesson i never got in trouble a gain and i am 46 yrs old

It seems no one read the story through. Besides standing out in front of the Courthouse ADMITTING to petty theft, they will be sentenced to either probation or some jail time. Public humiliation is a great deterrent. It works!

How were they supposed to know it was a 9 year old girls card? That shouldn't have been included on the sign. 1 theft in there whole life for something under $50 = Jail time? That's a little screwy. Why arent all the sex offenders holding signs? Or the people with DUI's?
