Illinois GOP Senate candidate asks for Sarah Palin's endorsement

Some political analysts have tried to cast the NY-23 special election results as a disaster for Sarah Palin, but not everyone has ignored the obvious power and momentum she brought to a previously-obscure candidate over the course of two weeks. » Full Story on hotair.com

Sarah Palin took Doug Hoffman from a dead last candidate who was polling at 18 percent and in two weeks he finished at 46 percent.

That's with both the democrat/communists AND the Vichy GOP machine trying to destroy him.

And just like she destroyed Obama's unconstitutional attempt to take over health care, she did it with a SINGLE Facebook post!

Just think of where Hoffman would have been if the hapless GOP actually HELPED him!

The Democrats are trying to spin yesterday's elections as a 2-1 split by chortling about their win in NY-23. The truth is, Republicans beat the tar out of them by winning two huge races decided by millions of voters -- while the Dems merely won one small local campaign that was mismanaged by the GOP and dominated by party operatives.

The Virginia race was a blow-out. NJ was particularly amazing considering that Christie was outspent by at least 2-1 in a traditionally blue state.

Yesterday was a clear indictment of Obama's policies. Americans do NOT want the massive overspending and high taxation required by socialism. We want jobs ... and we want freedom.

Pure poetic justice! Sarah, your fan base is growing within and outside the Republican party.

After reading about Mark Kirk I will be surprized if Sarah backs him! Looks like another DeDe to me.

The GOP spent almost $1 million in support of fake Republican Scozzafava, including ads against Doug Hoffman. The party finally woke up and ditched her only 4 days before the election. Consequently, her name was on the regular and absentee ballots and some people voted for her. If Hoffman had had her 6%, he would have won.

Owens better watch out in 2010!

I agree with Gary. I am not certain this candidate is conservative enough for Governor Palin to support, but I appreciate his boldness in at least seeking her endorsement. He has seen, as others have now, that she is willing, able and ready to stand with those who share her Conservative opinions.

Historian, don't forget, Sarah just wrote on Facebook for Hoffman, who ALMOST won against unbeatable odds. She also campaigned and even recorded commercials for the Virginia market, where the Republicans DESTROYED Obama and the democrat communists!

The Republicans swept the elections for the first time in history. Landslide election!

Thank you Sarah!

Politicians everywhere saw how Sarah Palin's endorsement took Doug Hoffman from a distant third to within a few points of a win. This is a guy who was a complete unknown a month ago and who lacked the power of a political machine behind him.

Is it any surprise that the Democrats are intent on destroying her? They know the power of Palin!

It will be tough for a Conservative to win that Senate seat since Chicago is as bad or worse than DC but we all know it is possible!

Why does it take soo long for the Republicans to get their act together?

Lindsay, not only did the GOP throw a million dollars away on Scozzafava the democrats did likewise for their guy.

PLUS, Obama attended TWO fund raisers for Owens, and Joe Biden went up there on Monday!

BTW, Biden only drew about 150 people (not counting the press)

When Sarah was up there in the summer, she drew over 20,000!

The democrats are trying to call NY-23 a win. It wasn't. It took MAX EFFORT by both Obama and Biden to beat a no name guy no one heard of two weeks ago!!

Epic Fail for Obama!

The Democrats got smashed Tuesday. Great wins in Virgina and New Jersey and a humiliating win in 23rd NY when they were ahead by 20 points before Sarah Palin came in. Dennis Miller just said that Obama's coattails are smaller than a naked midget. Ha Ha.

The question is, can he pass the test? I have much confidence in a candidate when Sarah Palin endorses them. She does not give out enforsements to those that do not deserve them.

I think this guy is putting Sarah Palin in a bad position. He is not worthy of her support and yet if she says no, it will not look good for her.

It would be so sweet to see a conservative in Obozo's old seat. If NJ can turn red, who knows, anything is possible.

It's better to have lost the seat to a Democrat than to have handed it over to a make-believe Republican. Scuzzy would have voted with the Dems most of the time. And then it would be harder to replace her in 2010 with a true conservative.

It was pretty amazing to watch an unknown like Hoffman shoot up in the polls. I guarantee you, the Dems are shaking in their boots right now, wondering who Palin's next endorsement will be.

Obama lost in NJ! Can his old seat go conservative next? The power of the people can make many things happen. Conservatives mounted a great battle in NY 23- we'll get a chance for a rematch in one year.

Can you hear us yet?

A great day for Republicans. Major smashing wins in Virgina and New Jersey, places that Obama put himself on the line for. And theynearly did the impossible in 23 NY. Sarah Palin brought Hoffman from 18% to 46% and would have won except for the Scozzfava shenanigans with the Democrats.

Obama lost in NJ, and Virginia send a resounding message that obama can keep his change. I guess the obama thril is over.

This guy is not Palin material. I do not think she will support him. However, it is going to be difficult for Governor Palin to pick and chose those she will support and those she will not.

Kirk supports cap and tax- forget it- he will never get a Palin endorsement. She does not endorse people that want America to fail.

We independent voters are making a big splash in the elections. We are swinging right in large numbers and Republicans are getting elected hand over fist.

Sarah Palin will always choose principles over party. That is what makes her rise above the cesspool of American politics. She's a firm believer in fiscal responsibility, and she proved it in Alaska by cutting the budget 10% and setting up a savings fund for the state.

I don't know if she'll support Kirk, but I do know this: she will never throw her support behind any candidate who believes in tax-and-spend.

It's about time conservatives grow a back bone. What a awesome sight to see.

Tea Party Patriots, unite like there is no tomorrow, because if obama has his way, America's home of the free and land of the brave may disappear.

I laugh at D'OHbama and the way he is lead by his nose by the Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, and the Republicans! When Republicans tell D'OHbama to jump - he says how high? Repubs say no Public Option – he rolls over! When Palin advises people on death panels on healthcare, he reacts and runs around all skittish and changes everything about it! When Republicans say no "lesson plan" and clean up your speech to kids - he does, so diligently! When Republicans tell D'OHbama to get rid of government choice on healthcare - he does. When Republicans tell him to get out of DC so we can party - he asks when to fly away. We tell him to get rid of racist communist Van Jones - he does. Get rid of ACORN riff-raff - he does! He reports to the Republican party. Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck OWN him! I had thought he won the election last year, but clearly he didn't! It is very funny!
